I explore space in my drawings: how it pushes up against, and how it reaches deep.  Surface is important, and atmosphere, and shapes. The thick and thin-able texture of oil stick and oil pastel is supremely addictive.  In these drawings, I search the secrets of the water. Submerged with me in the moody energy, their colors begin to pulse and run and sing.
